Day 2

16th April, 2017 :

This morning, we took our free complimentary breakfast at hotels in house restaurant. They served a very healthy and nice Indian Breakfast. Fruits, Boiled Eggs, Bread, Idlis, Sheera, Medu Wada and some good Indian Items were on the Buffet type breakfast. The stewards were very nice and professional.

After finishing breakfast we headed for the South Goa Trip from Hotel booked a day before at reception. We were picked up by the Trip Driver at 9.0 AM from the hotel in a Mini-Bus along with other people from other hotels who had booked the same package.

Dona - Paula

Dona Paula Jetty

Dona Paula Circle

One may read about Dona-Paula of Goa on internet in details. The location has a hill-top and a jetty. On the Jetty there are flea shops selling ornaments and stuff. One can see beautiful sea and boats anchored near the jetty.

Miramar Beach

We did not halt at the beach as it was closed for some reasons.

Panaji Ferry Terminal

At this point we boarded a small boat, that charged us Rs. 300/- per head, which sailed to the Dolphin Point at deeper Arabian Sea, which is equidistant from Fort Aguada and Governor of Goa's bunglow.

Glimpses of Dolphins were seen just for fraction of seconds in the deep sea. So it was not that worth the price.

Music System in the boat however later set up the mood for everyone and few young boys danced well on Bollywood Beats.

Dolphin Boat Ride

We had a lunch at Hotel Wilsha near Carambolim, Goa. The food was not upto the mark, and it seemed like the Bus Driver had some deal with hotel. Many Traveler Buses halted there for food.

Balaji Temple

Since we had eaten non vegetarian food, we avoided seeing any temples.

Mangeshi Temple

Again this was skipped due to eating non vegetarian food.

Basilica of Bom Jesus

This is the place one should never miss to visit when in Old Goa. The Basilica of Bom Jesus is a structure made in Red Stone, which is decaying now. The whole structure is architectural marvel and is a 'world heritage site'.

The stone of the Church is now started weathering.

Se Cathedral

This is opposite to Basilica of Bom Jesus. This compound has archaeological museum, A cathedral, A Church and a Statue of Jesus Christ.

Museum portraying historic articles.

Cruise Dance Show

Since we were exhausted from the travel and the driver of the bus had asked for extra money for Cruise Dance Show. We decided to quit this point, as we knew that this cruise show is nothing but few local girls and boys dance on the cruise and we just have to watch it and may be dance if like. All this in a cruise boat. So, skipping this we headed back to the hotel in a private taxi.

Later in the evening we hired a scooter for Rs. 300/- per day (excluding petrol), we relaxed at hotel a bit and then went to the Calangute Beach on Scooter.

The scooter ride was excellent. It was like playing GTA game in real life... :D

We shopped for swim wear and some footwear for beach. and returned back to hotel to finish the day.
